Let the scent take its time.
3月に入り、松本にも少しずつ春の気配が混ざってきました。
朝、窓を開けると、まだ冷たい空気の中に
ほんの少しだけ柔らかい湿度が感じられます。
冬の乾いた空気とは少し違う、
土がゆっくり目を覚ますような匂い。
私はこの「季節がほどける瞬間の空気」が好きです。
森の静けさと、街の凛とした空気。
その二つが、同じ空気の中にそっと重なっているような感覚。
今日は、松本に訪ねてきてくれた方たちと
香りについてゆっくり話す時間がありました。
久しぶりに顔を合わせると、
どこかほっとするような、そんなひととき。
自分では気づかなかった印象や、
思いがけない言葉も出てきたりして、
とても刺激的で温かい時間でした。
香りは、ほんの1滴で表情が変わります。
試作を重ねながら、
まだ形になっていない香りも、
こうした対話の中で少しずつ輪郭が見えてくる気がしています。
春はまだ始まったばかり。
森も街も、
そして AY. scent & design も、
ゆっくりと動き出しています。
香りもまた、季節のように、
静かに形になっていくものなのかもしれません。

Today I spent a quiet moment talking about scent with visitors who came to see me.
New impressions and unexpected words gently shaped the outline of a fragrance still in progress.
Like the season itself,
perhaps a scent also takes time to quietly become what it is meant to be.
