上田市別所温泉にある Hippocampus にてワークショップを開催いたしました。
Hippocampusさんは、カフェとともに精油の製造販売や雑貨の取り扱いもされているお店です。木の温もりを感じる空間に、木の色合いと調和する鮮やかなブルーの壁。穏やかな雰囲気が心地よく、訪れるたびにゆったりとした時間が流れているのを感じます。
当日は、お客様との出会いや会話、スタッフの皆様の温かなお気遣いに支えられ、とても豊かな時間を過ごすことができました。
ワークショップでは、AYSDのオリジナルブレンドに地元の木々の香りをそっと重ねながら、それぞれの香りを仕上げていきました。
ワークショップが進むにつれ、販売スペースには香りがやんわりと広がり、その空間に足を踏み入れたお客様から「とても癒される」と声をかけていただくことも。
香りは目に見えませんが、その場の空気や記憶、過ごした時間までも包み込みます。今回もまた、香りの余韻とともに穏やかな時間が流れていきました。

AYSD hosted a fragrance workshop at Hippocampus, located in the hot spring town of Bessho Onsen in Ueda, Nagano.
Hippocampus is a wonderful space that combines a café with the production and sale of essential oils, alongside original products and thoughtfully selected goods. The warmth of the wooden interior, complemented by vibrant blue walls, creates a calm and inviting atmosphere where time seems to slow down.
Throughout the day, I was grateful for the conversations and connections shared with participants, as well as the kindness and hospitality of the Hippocampus team. It was a truly enriching experience.
During the workshop, participants completed their own fragrances by layering the gentle scent of local woods into AYSD’s original blends.
As the workshop progressed, the fragrance gradually drifted through the shop. From time to time, visitors stepping into the space would remark on how relaxing and comforting it felt.
Although scent is invisible, it has the ability to shape an atmosphere, evoke memories, and become part of the moments we share. Once again, the day unfolded gently, accompanied by the lingering presence of fragrance.
